Open, close, or save a model

When you want to use PerformancePoint Planning Business Modeler to work with models and dimensions, or with rules that perform business tasks, you can save your changes, and if desired, close the site and open another model site.

Note: When you save a model or model site, Planning Business Modeler makes a copy of the model site on the client computer. It does not update the application database managed by Planning Server. To update the application database and make the model available to other applications such as PerformancePoint Add-in for Excel, you must deploy or reprocess the model. To learn how to do this, see Deploy a model.
