Download OneDrive for Android - v5.35.2 (July 24, 2019)

What's new

  • Fixed a bug that was making it difficult to sign in, made a few things a bit faster, and polished up a few surfaces.

  • Note that you now need Android 6.0 or newer to install the OneDrive Android app.

Pre-releases

Join the OneDrive Preview for Android and get early access to new features in the OneDrive Android app.

OneDrive for Android release notes

This wouldn't be possible without your feedback. If you run into any issues, please open the app, shake your device and tap "Report a Problem."

  • In addition to a PIN Code, you'll now be able to use your fingerprint to lock the OneDrive app.

  • We've improved our grid view to help your photos stand out and look their best as well as making it easier than ever to see what photos are getting backed up in the Photos tab.

Download OneDrive for iOS - v10.77 (Jul 24, 2019)

What's new

  • When sending sharing links in other apps, like iMessage and Mail, the app header would unexpectedly turn transparent. We're all for transparency, just not this kind.

Pre-releases

Join the OneDrive Preview for iOS and get early access to new features in the OneDrive iOS app.

  • File sizes on mobile weren't matching what was showing on OneDrive web. Unfortunately, this was a bug and not ground breaking middle out compression. Fortunately, this has been fixed.

  • When marking up some shared PDFs - like playing meeting hangman, or reinforcing I after E - edits weren't actually uploading for some users. They now will upload.

  • Users whose emails ended with "_", such as OneDriveFan4Life_@outlook.com, were unable to sign in to the app. This has been fixed by our engineer James_, and users like OneDriveFan4Life_ can once again sign into the app.

  • Safari pages as PDFs, uploaded via the Files app, were appearing to upload successfully - but in reality were successfully unsuccessful. We've fixed this problem and these uploads will appear, and actually, successfully upload.

  • This update contains bug fixes and stability improvements.

  • Text translation wasn't working for some users, turning a few options in the Settings page into a confusing game of 'guess that setting.' This has been fixed, and will look and read as you'd expect.

  • Now it's even easier to collaborate with others with our new and improved shared view for business customers! It's even easier to find things now that you can see who has shared documents with you and when they were shared.

  • File and folder names starting with the ^ character were showing as an empty name. We've fixed this issue and ^these ^file ^names ^will ^now ^all ^work. ^.^

  • This update also contains other bug fixes and stability improvements.

We fixed an issue where some users got stuck with endless loading after signing into a business account. Now, users can get right to their files post sign in - as you'd expect.

We've updated the color of our folder icon to a mix of tuscany and honey with of hint of butterscotch. Some call it just an icon update, but we call it the gold standard.

We've updated our app icon to reflect how we're simplifying and modernizing cloud productivity - with carefully crafted experiences that honor our Office heritage and welcome the future.

We fixed an issue with our Expiring Links date picker where the date and day of the week weren't displaying correctly. Rest assured that though Wednesdays can sometimes feel like Mondays, our date picker now has it sorted.

We've updated the way albums and tags are shown in the all photos view, allowing for more screenestate of all your photos, and a more modern answer to "what's behind door number one."

"Hey Siri, scan a whiteboard". Or a business card, document, photo - you get the gist. Turn on OneDrive shortcuts by going to Settings -> Siri & Search.

Some users launching the app would encounter a slowing or crashing app. We fine tuned some things under the hood to fix the issue, and the app will now open and run smoothly once more.

We believe sharing is caring. So, we've fixed an issue with our share extension preventing large photos from being shared.

Sometimes tapping "Copy To OneDrive" and "AirDrop" via the share sheet would literally drop the files in transit. This has been fixed and all files will now stick the landing.

We fixed an issue with our iMessage Extension where non photos couldn't be selected. This has been fixed and now you can insert all your files into iMessage, photos and non photos alike.

We polished up the photo uploading experience, and you'll now see your uploading photos and videos right smack in the photos view - proof that a watched pot does in fact boil.

There was a bug in our iMessage app - yes we have an iMessage app - that would say 'Open in On' instead of 'Open in OneDrive'. This has been fixed, not with the missing six characters, but a little app icon in the top right of your file previews. Proof that we really do go the extra mile.

We got an early start on spring cleaning by fine tuning a few UI details in the search experience.

We squashed a bug preventing a few Office docs from opening correctly in the app.

Sometimes a text annotation on a PDF got a mind of its own, rotating however it pleased. This has been fixed.

We fixed an issue where we showed an unexpected space above your search results. This has been fixed and you no longer have to mind the gap.

The Files app will no longer close or refresh unexpectedly when browsing your OneDrive files.
