Keyboard shortcuts in PowerPoint Online

PowerPoint Online runs in your web browser so the keyboard shortcuts are different than those in the Office desktop applications. For example, you'll use Ctrl+F6 instead of F6 for jumping in and out of the ribbon. Also, common shortcuts like F1 apply to web browser commands, not PowerPoint Online commands.

For an overview of accessibility in PowerPoint Online see Accessibility features in PowerPoint Online.

Use keyboard shortcuts to create a presentation

Tips:

  • As a shortcut to commands, press Ctrl+' (apostrophe) to jump to Tell Me, and then type the command you want (available only in Editing view). Use the Up and Down arrows to select a command, and then press Enter.

  • To get keyboard shortcuts for other platforms such as iPad or Mac, or for desktop PowerPoint 2013, see Keyboard shortcuts for other platforms.

  • If you use a screen reader, see Top tasks you can accomplish using a screen reader.
