Keyboard shortcuts in OneNote Online

The keyboard shortcuts that are described in this Help topic refer to the U.S. keyboard layout. Keys on other layouts might not correspond exactly to the keys on a U.S. keyboard.

For an overview of accessibility in OneNote Online, see Accessibility features in OneNote Online

Use keyboard shortcuts to create a presentation

Tips:

  • As a shortcut to commands, press Ctrl+' (apostrophe) to jump to Tell Me, and then type the command you want (available only in Editing view). Use the Up and Down arrows to select a command, and then press Enter.

  • OneNote Online runs in your web browser so the keyboard shortcuts are different than those in the desktop program. For example, you'll use Ctrl+F6 instead of F6 for jumping in and out of the commands. Also, common shortcuts like F1 (Help) and Ctrl+O (Open) apply to the web browser, not OneNote Online.

  • Keyboard shortcuts in OneNote Online are very similar to keyboard shortcuts in Microsoft OneNote. For a list of keyboard shortcuts in other versions of OneNote, see More keyboard shortcuts for OneNote.
