Do you get this error when you try to redeem Office?

"You have reached the maximum number of Office products that can be associated to your Microsoft account."

You can get this error when you’ve redeemed the maximum number of copies of one-time purchases of Office (Office 2019, Office 2016, or Office 2013) to a single Microsoft account. You have a couple of options to work around this.

Note: This error does not apply to Microsoft 365 subscriptions as your Microsoft account can have only one Microsoft 365 for home subscription associated with it.

1 - Create a second Microsoft account

If you want to redeem more copies of Office and you’ve reached the limit, you can create a second Microsoft account and redeem more copies of Office using this second Microsoft account.

  1. Create a second Microsoft account from https://signup.live.com

  2. Go to the location where you’re purchasing Office, like http://office.microsoft.com

  3. Purchase and redeem the remaining copies of Office using the new Microsoft account.

2 - Consider volume licensing

Software volume licensing makes it easier and more affordable to run software on multiple computers within an organization.

Please go to the Microsoft Volume Licensing website for more information.
