Get access to the Office 365 Business apps for Enterprise subscriptions

Office 365 business apps are rolling out for Office 365 Enterprise E3 and E5 customers. This topic explains how to get the subscription and then assign licenses to the users.

Note: Bookings is turned on by default for customers who have the Office 365 Business Premium, or Office 365 Education A3 and A5 subscriptions. Bookings is also available to customers who have Office 365 Enterprise E3 and E5, but it is turned off by default. To turn it on, see Get access to the Office 365 business apps for enterprise subscriptions.

Before you begin, there are a few things that you should know:

  • The only business app currently available for Enterprise E3 and E5 subscriptions is Microsoft Bookings. We will release more of the business apps as they become available.

  • For Office 365 Enterprise E3 and E5 subscriptions, the apps offered through the Business Apps (free) add-on are off by default. You must follow the procedures in this document to turn them on by acquiring licenses, and then assigning them to the users.

  • You must be a global admin to perform these procedures.
