Generate and view the sample report in Management Reporter

Generate a report from the report definition in order to see the finished report. During the process, Microsoft Office PerformancePoint 2007 Management Reporter gathers the data and formatting from the building blocks and creates a printable report.

For an example of the generated report, see Example Income Statement report.

To generate the sample report, do the following:

  1. From the sample report definition, on the File menu, click Generate Report.

  2. If you did not include a reporting tree in your report, go to step 4.

  3. If you included a reporting tree, in the Select Reporting Units dialog box, click Select All.

  4. If the logon screen appears, select the Use Windows Authentication check box or type your Management Reporter user name and password.

  5. To view a report row by reporting units, double-click a report row.

  6. To view a different reporting unit, double-click the reporting unit on the reporting tree.
