Format numbers as percentages

To format 0.16 as a percentage (cell C2 below), click the cell, and then click Home > Number Format > Percentage.

$125,000 in cell A2, $20,000 in cell B2, and 0.16 in cell C3

Now you see 16% instead of 0.16.

$125,000 in cell a2, $20,000 in cell b2, and 16% in cell c2

Note:  When you format an empty cell, Excel Online will remember that the cell contains a percentage and will show the formatting when the cell later gets a value.
