Format Picture (Picture Color pane)
When you change options in this dialog box, the changes are immediately applied to your picture, making it easy to see the effects of the changes in your picture without closing the dialog box. However, since the changes are instantly applied, it is not possible to click Cancel in this dialog box. To remove changes, you must click Undo on the Quick Access Toolbar for each change that you want to remove.
You can simultaneously undo multiple changes that you made to one dialog box option, as long as you did not make changes to another dialog box option in between.
You may want to move the dialog box so that you can see both the picture and the dialog box at the same time.
Saturation is the intensity of the color. A higher saturation makes a picture look more vivid, whereas a lower saturation turns the colors toward gray.
Presets To choose one of the most common, Saturation adjustments, click Presets, and then click the thumbnail that you want.
Saturation Move the Saturation slider, or enter a number in the box next to the slider. The higher the percentage the more vivid the color of the picture.
When color temperatures are not measured correctly by a camera, a color cast (too much of one color dominating the picture) can show on the picture, making the picture look too blue or too orange. You can adjust this by increasing or decreasing the color temperature to enhance the details of the picture and make the picture look better.
Presets To choose one of the most common, built-in temperature adjustments, click Presets, and then click the thumbnail that you want.
Temperature Move the Temperature slider, or enter a number in the box next to the slider. The higher the number, the more orange added to your picture. The lower the number, the more blue added to your picture.
Presets To choose a built-in stylized effect, such as grayscale or sepia tone, click Presets, and then click the thumbnail that you want.
Tip To remove a Recolor effect but keep any other changes you have made to the picture, click the first effect, No Recolor.
