Forecast cash flow

Available in Microsoft Office Accounting Professional 2009 only.

You can use the cash flow forecasting feature of Microsoft Office Accounting 2009 to project future cash and bank balances by coordinating your planned expenditures with your income stream.

  1. In the Navigation Pane, click Company.

  2. Under Start a Task, click Forecast Cash Flow.

    The cash flow forecast depicts your company's accounts receivable and accounts payable totals for a period you define. This view of the flow of money into and out of your company can guide you in making spending and saving plans for the near future.

  3. To work with your data, follow the instructions in the Forecast Setup form.

  4. If you have Microsoft Office Excel 2007 or Excel 2003 installed, you can work with your data in an Excel spreadsheet.

    How?

    1. On the toolbar, click Export to Excel Excel .

    2. On the Excel File menu, click Save As.

    3. Specify a path and a file name for the Excel file.

    4. Click Save.

    5. You can switch between Excel and the cash flow forecast by clicking the appropriate button on the taskbar. When you finish working in Excel, click Close Button image .

  5. When you are done, click Close on the toolbar.
