Forecast cash flow

Available in Microsoft Office Accounting Professional 2008 only.

You can use Forecast Cash Flow to project future cash and bank balances by coordinating your planned expenditures with your income stream. To open the forecast, on the Company menu, click Forecast Cash Flow.

Forecast Cash Flow depicts your company's accounts receivable and accounts payable totals for a period you define. This view of the flow of money into and out of your company can guide you in making spending and saving plans for the near future.

  1. To work with your data, follow the instructions in the Forecast Setup pane.

  2. If you have Microsoft Office Excel installed, you can work with your data in an Excel spreadsheet.

    How?

    1. On the toolbar, click Export to Excel Excel .

    2. On the Excel File menu, click Save As.

    3. Specify a path and a file name for the Excel file.

    4. Click Save.

    5. You can switch between Excel and Forecast Cash Flow by clicking the appropriate button on the taskbar. When you finish working in Excel, click Close Button image .

  3. When you have finished, click Close on the toolbar.
