Applies to: Office Accounting Professional
Office Accounting Professional and Office Accounting Professional Plus provide foreign currency handling that enables you to work with customers, suppliers and bank accounts in foreign currency while maintaining your nominal accounts in pounds sterling (GBP).
Important: Office Accounting uses Pounds Sterling (GBP) as the base currency. You cannot change the base currency. You can use foreign currencies for supplier accounts, customer accounts and some bank accounts; however, most account types will only use the base currency.
If you did not enable foreign currencies when setting up your company in Microsoft Office Accounting 2008, you can change this at any time in the Preferences dialog box.
To enable foreign currencies, on the Company menu, click Preferences and in the Preferences dialog box, select the Use foreign currencies check box.
Note that you can enable or disable foreign currency handling at any time by selecting or clearing the Use foreign currencies check box.
