A macro is a series of Microsoft Office Word commands and instructions that you group together as a single command to accomplish a task automatically.

To work with macros in Microsoft Office Word 2007, you need to show the Developer tab.

What do you want to do?

Show the Developer tab

  1. Click the Microsoft Office Button Office button image, and then click Word Options.

  2. Click Popular.

  3. Under Top options for working with Word, select the Show Developer tab in the Ribbon check box.

    Note: The Ribbon is a component of the Microsoft Office Fluent user interface.

Delete a single macro

  1. On the Developer tab, in the Code group, click Macros.

  2. In the Macro name list, select the name of the macro that you want to delete.

    If the macro doesn't appear in the list, select a different document or template in the Macros in list.

  3. Click Delete.

Delete macro projects

A macro project is a collection of components, including macros, forms, code, and class modules.

  1. On the Developer tab, in the Code group, click Macros.

  2. Click Organizer.

  3. On the Macro Project Items tab, click the macro project that you want to delete from either list, and then click Delete.

    Word displays the macro projects that are used in the active document in the list on the left. Word displays the macro projects that are in the Normal document template in the list on the right.
