Create a new delegation

Creating a new delegation in Microsoft Project Web App enables one user to work on behalf of another user, such as submitting a second user’s timesheet.

To create a delegation:

  1. On the PWA home page, click Server Settings.

  2. In the Security section, click Manage Delegates.

  3. On the interface ribbon, click New.

  4. In the Set Delegation Period section, select the date range for the period during which the delegate will be able to manage work.

  5. In the Set Delegation section, select the delegate that you want to manage work during the specified period.

  6. In the Working on Behalf of section, select the user who requires a substitute.

  7. Click Save to save the permissions on the server.
