Configuring the Header and Footers tab in Management Reporter

The Headers and Footers tab is divided into a Headers area and a Footers area, and each area is divided into three sections: Left section, Center section, and Right section. Use the sections to align header information to the left, to the center, or to the right side of the header or footer.

The following procedures explain how to add, edit, and delete text; how to add, delete, and edit images; how to apply formatting to the header text; and how to change the report starting page number.

Add header and footer text

  1. In an open report definition, click the Headers and Footers tab.

  2. Click the row into which you want to add text.

  3. Enter text into the selected row:

    • If you want to enter custom text, type the text into the row.

    • If you want to use AutoText code, click Insert AutoText, point to an AutoText category, and then click an AutoText code. For information about the codes, see AutoText descriptions in Management Reporter.

Delete header and footer text

  1. In an open report definition, click the Headers and Footers tab.

  2. In the Headers or Footers area, in the Left section, Center section, or Right section, click a row, and then press the Delete key.

Edit header and footer text

  1. In an open report definition, click the Headers and Footers tab.

  2. In the Headers or Footers area, in the Left section, Center section, or Right section, double click the row that contains the text that you want to edit, and then edit the text as necessary.

Format header and footer text

  1. In an open report definition, click the Headers and Footers tab.

  2. Click the row that contains the text you want to format.

  3. Apply formatting to the text:

    • If you want to use an existing font styles, on the Formatting toolbar, click the font style that you want to apply.

    • If you want to use the formatting toolbar, click the appropriate formatting button.

      For example, to make the header text bold, click the Bold make bold button.

Insert an image into a header or footer

Microsoft Office PerformancePoint 2007 Management Reporter supports .bmp, .jpg, and .png files for images.

  1. In an open report definition, click the Headers and Footers tab.

  2. Click the row into which you want to add an image.

  3. Click Insert Image insert image .

  4. Click an image, and then click Insert.

    Note: If the image is not loaded in Management Reporter, click Add. Then, in the Open dialog box, click an image, and then click Open. To insert the image, click the image, and then click Insert.

Edit a header or footer image

  1. In an open report definition, click the Headers and Footers tab.

  2. Click Insert Image insert image .

  3. Select an image to edit, and then click Edit.

  4. In the Edit Image dialog box, you can change the following settings:

    • To change an image name, in the Image Name box, type a new name.

    • To change an image size, in the Scale relative to original image size box, enter a scale.

    • To replace an image, click Replace Image. In the Open dialog box, click a different image, and then click Open.

Change the report starting page number

  1. In an open report definition, click the Headers and Footers tab.

  2. In the Start page numbering at box, enter a starting page number.
