Changing Text Appearance

In the Conversation window you can change the font, color, and type style for messages that you send. These changes affect the appearance of your instant messages both in your Conversation window and in the Conversation window of any person you are communicating with. If you choose to use red text then both you and the people you are communicating with will see your messages displayed using red text.

You can also change the font size of your instant messages. However, changes in font size affect only the appearance of instant messages in your Conversation window. Anyone you are communicating with will continue to see your messages displayed in the font size that they have selected.

To change the appearance of instant message text

  1. At the bottom of the Conversation window, click the Font button (the uppercase letter A).

  2. In the Font pop-up click the font that you want.

  3. Click other features that you want, including bold, italic, or underscore. Click the font color that you want.

  4. When the settings are as you want them, click Close (the uppercase letter X) or click anywhere outside the Font pop-up.

To change the text size
