Cancel all meetings in a recurring series

When you cancel a recurring meeting, all meetings in the series are removed from everyone’s calendar—past and future. It’s a good idea to cancel the entire meeting series only before the meetings begin. Any meeting agendas, notes, or attachments saved with any meeting in the series are also deleted.

  1. On the navigation bar, click Calendar.

  2. Click any meeting in the series, but don’t open it.

  3. Click Cancel Meeting > Cancel Series.

  4. Type a message to let the attendees know why the meeting is cancelled. It’s not necessary, but it helps to avoid confusion.

  5. Click Send Cancellation.

Only the meeting organizer—the person who sends a meeting request—can send a meeting update or a cancellation.
