Buy, install, configure, or uninstall a language pack for Office 2013

With language packs, you can change the display language for the Office 2013 applications installed on your computer and use proofing and editing tools and Help in your preferred language.

Each language pack is a bundle of three language packs, for Project, Visio, and Office. If you don't need all three language packs, after you download the language you want, you can install the language pack only for the Office application you need.

Language packs must be installed in addition to another language version of Office. For example, if you have the German version of Office installed on your computer, you can purchase and install the language pack for any additional language, such as Spanish.

Note: Language packs for Office 2010 and earlier have been discontinued, and Office 2010 or Office 2013 language packs can't be used with Office 2003 or Office 2007. But you can see if an Office language interface pack (LIP) might be available since you can still download free LIPs for Office 2003 and Office 2007.

  1. On the Office 2013 language pack page, select the language you want, and then click Buy and download now.

  2. Select the options you want, and follow the instructions to buy, download, and install the language pack.

  3. Repeat the installation process for each language pack you need.
