Associate a project type with a department

When users create new projects in Project Web App, they choose from a list of different types of projects. You can associate these project types with departments. For example, there may be separate types for marketing projects, IT projects, HR projects, and so on.

  1. On the Quick Launch, click Server Settings.

  2. Under Workflow and Detail Pages, click Enterprise Project Types.

  3. Click the name of an existing project type, or click New Enterprise Project Type to create a new one.

  4. In the Departments section, click the button to the right of the Departments field, and then choose the department you want to associate with this enterprise project type.
