Add, change, or delete the background of a document

Do any of the following:

Add or change a background image or watermark

  1. On the Layout tab, under Page Background, click Watermark.

  2. Do one of the following:

Add or change a background image

Click Picture, click Select Picture, browse through the image files, and then double-click the image that you want to use. If you want the background image to show with full color intensity, clear the Washout check box.

Add or change a text watermark

Choose Text, and in the text box, enter the text you want.

Change the background color of a document

  1. On the Layout tab, under Page Background, click Color.

  2. Click the color that you want, or mix your own color by clicking More Colors.

    Note: To add a pattern to the colored background, click Color and then click Fill Effects.

Remove the background color of a document

  1. On the Layout tab, under Page Background, click Color.

  2. Choose No Fill.

Remove a background image or watermark

  1. On the Layout tab, under Page Background, click Watermark.

  2. Choose No watermark.
