About the Forms Assignment page in Planning Business Modeler

The Forms Assignment page is in the Process Management workspace. On the Forms Assignment page, you can view, configure, and delete existing assignments and create new assignments. The process of creating a new assignment includes specifying a data entry form, contributors, reviewers, and approvers. To access the Forms Assignment page, click Process Management in the Workspace Browser pane. Next, click either Cycles or Assignments in the View drop-down list, and then click the cycle or assignment that you want to view.

This page provides a list of assignments for the currently selected cycle.

Assignment Tasks

In this pane, you can perform various assignment tasks.

Assignment Details

In this pane, you can view details about the assignment that you selected on the Forms Assignment page.

Review

This pane shows the name or names of the users who are assigned to review this assignment and shows whether the review is completed.

Approval

This pane shows the name or names of the users who are assigned to approve this assignment and shows whether the approval is completed.

Forms Assignment page

This area of the page lists details about the assignments in the model site. You cannot edit any properties on this page.

Element

Description

Name

The name of the assignment.

Label

The label for the assignment. The label is the primary identifier of objects throughout the system.

Description

The description of this assignment.

Data entry form

The name of the assignment, which does not have to match the assignment name.

Contributor

The name of the contributor who is currently assigned to work on the assignment.

Status

The status of the assignment, which is one of the following: Not Started, Started, Partial, Submitted, Reviewed, Rejected, Approved, Pending, or Wait for Processing.

Priority

The priority is set to Low, Medium, or High.

Start date

The date on which the assignment was assigned to the first contributor.

Submission deadline

The time and date by which all the contributors, reviewers, and approvers must finish the assignment and after which they cannot enter data or modify the assignment.

Assignment Tasks pane

In this pane, you can perform various assignment tasks. This includes creating a new dimension, extending the calendar, and checking out a dimension. The process of checking out a dimension makes other dimension tasks available and grants exclusive editing rights to the user who checked out the dimension.

Assign Forms

Click this link to start the Create an Assignment Definition wizard and create a new assignment.

Edit Assignment

Click to start the Edit an Assignment Definition wizard and edit the currently selected assignment.

Available Actions

Click to open the Available Actions for Assignment dialog box. This link is only enabled if the assignment has been saved.

Export Assignment Changelist

This option generates a comma-separated values (CSV) file that contains the submitted change list for the assignment. The change list is repeated for each submission of the assignment to the database server.

This pane displays details about the assignment that you select on the Forms Assignment page.
