Applies styles to selected shapes. The styles listed in this dialog box are the same as those in the style lists on the Format Text toolbar and Format Shape toolbar.
Text Style

Line Style

Fill Style
Lists available fill formats.
Preserve Local Formatting
Select this check box and click Apply to have Visio apply the style to the selected shapes but keep any formatting you've already applied, such as making text bold.
Clear this check box and click Apply to have Visio apply the style to the selected shapes and remove any formatting you've already applied. For example, if you made a shape's text bold and then selected a style that didn't specify bold text, Visio would remove the bold formatting.
