Assigning resources by reopening the Resource Assignment dialog box
You have been assigning resources by opening the Resource Assignment dialog box, assigning a resource, and then closing the dialog box. You can keep the Resource Assignment dialog box open while you work in the current view.

To assign resources to tasks, select the tasks to which you want to assign resources. In the Resource Assignment dialog box, select the resources you want to assign, and then click Assign. You can repeat this step without closing the dialog box.

You can drag the resources from the dialog box to tasks in the view.

To move the Resource Assignment dialog box, drag the title bar of the dialog box to a new location.

To replace a resource assigned to tasks, select the tasks in the view. In the Resource Assignment dialog box, select the currently assigned resource you want to replace, and then click Replace. Select the resource you want to replace the original resource, and then click OK.
If you don't want the Planning Wizard to display this information again, select the Don't tell me about this again check box.
