Changing dates for tasks that are already tied to specific dates
At least one of the tasks whose dates you're changing is constrained so that its start or finish is tied to a specific date. At some earlier time, a constraint was assigned so that at least one of these tasks must start or finish on or before a specific date. Changing the date for a constrained task will remove the constraint. If it is still important that some of these tasks start or finish on or before the constraint date, you can use the Planning Wizard to change dates for only those tasks that do not have constraints.

Using the Planning Wizard, you can:
Ignore the change for the constrained tasks and move only the unconstrained tasks.
Microsoft Project will change only those tasks that are not tied to specific dates. Any constraints that were previously associated with a task will be removed.
Continue the change and move all tasks.
Project will change the date for all of the tasks. None of the tasks are required to start or finish on or before a specific date.
Cancel the change and leave all tasks intact.
Project leaves all of the task dates unchanged. Those tasks that were required to start or finish on or before a specific date remain tied to their constraint dates.
If you cancel the move entirely, you may want to view and change the task constraints.
If you don't want the Planning Wizard to display this information again, select the Don't tell me about this again check box.
