Moving a task after the project is scheduled to end

You have moved a task to a date that is later than the finish date of the project.

Note: Go to Set a task start or finish date (constraint) for a task for additional information.

Using the Planning Wizard, you can:

Continue to move the task after the project finish date.

Microsoft Project will move the task to the date that you specified.

Cancel the move.

Project will not move the task.

If you move the task, you may want to change the project's finish date. When you change the project's finish date, Project will move all tasks that do not have links, constraints, or an explicit finish date to the new project finish date. To change the project finish date, click Project Information on the Project menu or tab, and then change the finish date.

If you don't want the Planning Wizard to display this information again, select the Don't tell me about this again check box.
