Add a file type to the Extensions list on the Extensions tab, specify which file extensions are included in that file type, and select the shape to represent that type on the generated Web site map.

Name

Type the name of the file type you want to add. For example, you might type Multimedia if you're adding a file type with sound and video file extensions.

Shape

Select the shape you want to have represent this file type in the generated Web site map. The list includes all shapes on the Web Site Map Shapes stencil that have not been selected for another extension or protocol type. The selected shape is displayed to the right.

May contain additional links

Select this check box to have the Web Site Map template search files of this type for additional links. For example, ASP and HTML files are usually searched for additional links, while image files such as JPEGs are not.

Extension

Type the extension(s) of the file formats you want to associate with the name you typed in the Name field. Do not type a period (.) before each file extension.

New

Adds a file extension to be associated with this file type. When you click New, a placeholder name appears in the Extension field. Replace the placeholder name with the extension of the file format you want to add to the file type.

Delete

Removes the selected extension from the list.
