How to watch closed captions in a Skype Meeting Broadcast

Watch the closed captions in a Skype Meeting Broadcast meeting, and enjoy the broadcast experience even if you don't share a common language with the presenter.

Notes:

  • This topic assumes you are using this app with a PC. Some navigation and gestures might be different for a Windows phone or tablet.

Turn on and watch the closed captions in a Skype Meeting Broadcast

Notes: 

  • The closed captions are available only if the meeting organizer has enabled the transcription of the meeting.

  • The translations of the closed captions are available only if the meeting organizer has selected the languages for the automatic translation. One meeting can be translated into max. 6 languages.

  • Some organizations may have restricted the availability of this feature.

  1. In a Skype Meeting Broadcast meeting, select the Captions button. An options list opens.

  2. In the list, select the language you want.

    The closed captions appear in the selected language at the bottom of the Skype Meeting Broadcast event window.

  3. To turn off the closed captions, select Captions > Captions Off.
