Animate a chart

  1. Click the chart that you want to animate.

  2. On the Animations tab, do any of the following:

Under Entrance Effects, click the effect that you want.

Under Emphasis Effects, click the effect that you want.

How the chart exits the slide

Under Exit Effects, click the effect that you want.

How the chart follows a custom path

Under Motion, click Paths, and then click the effect that you want.

  1. On the Animations tab, under Animation Options, click Reorder, and then under Animation order, click the animation effect.

  2. Do any of the following:

Set animation options, including sound effects

Under Effect Options, select the options that you want.

Set timing options, including animation start, speed, and delay

Under Timing, select the options that you want.

Set how each piece of the chart is animated

Under Chart Animations, on the Group graphic pop-up menu, select the options that you want.

Tips   

  • To display a blank chart at the beginning of the animation, under Chart Animations, select the Start animation by drawing the chart background check box.

  • Each animation effect is represented on the slide by a number  Animation number  next to the object, which indicates the order that it will play in.  If two animation effects are set to play at the same time, they are represented by a numbered stack  Animation numbered stack.
