In Outlook, you can export your contacts to a Comma Separated Values (.csv) file to move them to another email program.

  1. Select File.

  2. Select Open & Export > Import/Export.

  3. Select Export to a file > Next.

  4. Select Comma Separated Values > Next.

  5. Under the email account you want to export contacts from, select Contacts.

  6. Select Browse... and go to where you want to save your .csv file.

  7. Type in a file name and then select OK.

  8. Select Finish.

We suggest you open the .csv file in Excel to examine and edit the data before importing to another program.

Note: If you're exporting to another Outlook program that isn't a Microsoft 365 or Microsoft Exchange account, you'll want to save this as a .pst file to import.
