Use a screen reader to sign in to StaffHub

Use VoiceOver, the built-in iOS screen reader, to get started using StaffHub. You receive StaffHub invitations via email.

Notes: 

  • New Office 365 features are released gradually to Office 365 subscribers, so your app might not have these features yet. To learn how you can get new features faster, join the Office Insider program.

  • This topic assumes that you are using the built-in iOS screen reader, VoiceOver. To learn more about using VoiceOver, visit Apple accessibility.

  • This topic assumes that you are using an iPhone. Some navigation and gestures might be different for an iPad.

Accept an email invitation to start using StaffHub

When you receive an invitation to StaffHub, you can install the app via the link if it's not already installed, and sign in afterwards.

  1. Open the invitation email.

  2. Swipe right until you find the invitation URL, and then double-tap the screen. When the invitation page has loaded, you hear: "Microsoft."

  3. Swipe right until you hear "StaffHub, link, image," and then double-tap the screen.

    Tip: If you already have StaffHub installed, swipe right until you hear "Sign in, link," and then double-tap the screen. You hear "Open in StaffHub?" Swipe right until you hear "Open, button," and then double-tap the screen. Continue from Choose a team. If you have signed out after your previous session, you may have to sign in again.

  4. You hear: "Open in App Store?" Swipe right until you hear "Open, button," and then double-tap the screen.

  5. You hear: "App Store, share, button." Swipe right until you hear "Download, button," and then double-tap the screen.

  6. Wait a moment so that the download finishes, swipe left or right until you hear "Open, button," and then double-tap the screen. You hear: "StaffHub, sign in with your Office 365 work or school account."

  7. Swipe right until you hear "I have an account, button," and then double-tap the screen. You hear: "Text field, editing."

  8. Type your email address.

  9. Tap the upper half of the screen with 4 fingers, swipe right until you hear "Next, button," and then double-tap the screen. You hear: "Cancel, button."

  10. Swipe right until you hear "Password, secure text field," and then double-tap the screen.

  11. Type your password.

  12. Tap the upper half of the screen with 4 fingers, swipe right until you hear "Sign in, button," and then double-tap the screen.

  13. When you hear "Phone number, word mode, insertion point at start," StaffHub has opened. Swipe right until you hear "Skip, button," and then double-tap the screen.

Note: You may hear an alert from StaffHub when you sign in. Swipe left or right until you hear "Allow, button," and then double-tap the screen.

Choose a team

If you have used StaffHub previously, or if you have been added to several teams, you may need to choose which team you want to work with after signing in.

  1. Swipe right until you hear the name of the right team, and then double-tap the screen.

  2. If you hear "Device time zone changed," swipe right until you hear "OK, button," and then double-tap the screen.

Accept an email invitation to start using StaffHub

When you receive an invitation to StaffHub, you can install the app via the link if it's not already installed, and sign in afterwards.

  1. Open the invitation email.

  2. Swipe up-then-right to open the local context menu.

  3. Swipe right until you hear "Links," and then double-tap the screen. TalkBack announces how many links it finds in the email. Most of them are email addresses.

  4. Swipe right until you find the invitation URL, and then double-tap the screen. You hear: "You've been invited to Microsoft StaffHub."

  5. Swipe right until you hear "Play Store, double-tap," and then double-tap the screen.

    Tip: If you already have StaffHub installed, swipe right until you hear "Sign in, link," double-tap the screen, and then continue from Choose a team. If you have signed out after your previous session, you may have to sign in again.

  6. Swipe right until you hear "Install button," and then double-tap the screen.

  7. Wait a moment so that the download finishes, swipe right until you hear "Open button," and then double-tap the screen. You hear: "StaffHub."

  8. Swipe right until you hear "I have an account button," and then double-tap the screen. You hear: "Edit box for work account."

  9. Type your email address, swipe right until you hear "Next button," and then double-tap the screen.

  10. Type your password.

  11. Swipe right or left until you hear "Go," and then double-tap the screen.

  12. Swipe right until you hear "Skip button," and then double-tap the screen.

Note: If you have any notifications waiting in StaffHub, Narrator announces how many there are. Swipe right to listen to each of them. After listening, swipe right until you hear "OK button, out of list," and then double-tap the screen.

Choose a team

If you have used StaffHub previously, or if you have been added to several teams, you may need to choose which team you want to work with after signing in.

  1. Swipe right until you hear "Select your team," and then swipe right until you hear the name of the right team.

  2. Double-tap the screen to select the team.

  3. Swipe right until you hear "Next button, out of list," and then double-tap the screen.

  4. If you hear "Device time zone changed," swipe right until you hear "OK button," and then double-tap the screen.
