Turn off or turn on Microsoft Forms

By default, Microsoft Forms is turned on for everyone in your organization. As an admin, you can set up Microsoft Forms, then turn it off and turn it on again for specific people by following these steps:

  1. Sign in to Office 365 with your work or school account as a global admin. Learn how to sign in.

  2. In the Office 365 admin center, choose Users > Active users.

  3. Select the box next to the name of the person for whom you want to turn off Microsoft Forms.

  4. On the right, in the Product licenses row, choose Edit.

  5. In the Product licenses pane, expand the Office 365 license to see all the features.

  6. Move the Microsoft Forms toggle to Off. To turn it on again, move the toggle to On.

If you turn off Microsoft Forms while a quiz or survey is going on, users won't be able to access the Forms site anymore. The quiz or survey they created and sent before Microsoft Forms was disabled can still be filled out, but they won't see the responses.

  7. At the bottom of the Product licenses pane, choose Save > Close > Close.
