The 'Office 365' tab in Edge

If you're an Edge user and have Office 365 for business (for work or school), you have a new perk—a default home page and new tab pages especially for you. The 'Office 365' tab gives you easy access to your most-recently-used Office cloud files (both SharePoint and OneDrive), your SharePoint sites, and the top Office Online apps. There are additional tabs that show Office documents that have been shared with you, and documents that might be of interest to you.

These features make the Edge default home page the easiest way to start (or get back to) work, and collaborate with others.

To find the Office 365 tab:

  1. First, make sure you've signed into your Windows device with your work or school user ID (the one associated with your Office 365 license).

  2. Open Edge.

  3. See the new tab for Office 365—to the left of the familiar Newsfeed, My interests, and Explore tabs.

I have Office 365 for business, and am using Edge, but I don't see the My Office 365 tab

You may not see the Office 365 tab (or elements of it) if:

  • You don't have an Internet connection

  • You don't have the latest version of Windows installed

  • Your admin has turned off access to it

  • You have turned off the setting to show top sites and suggested content (see the procedure below to learn how to turn them back on)

  • You are an Exchange Online-only user

To turn top sites and suggested content back on—so you can see the Office 365 tab

Note: Your admin may have disabled your ability to turn top sites and suggested content on and off.

  1. On the Edge homepage, tap the ellipsis in the upper right corner, and choose Settings.

  2. In the Open Microsoft Edge with drop-down, click Start page, if it isn't selected already.

  3. In the Open new tabs with drop-down, choose Top sites and suggested content.
