Show or hide information in a Visio organization chart

You can click options in the Options dialog box to display or hide the data that is associated with organization chart shapes. Whether or not the data is displayed on the shapes depends on the choices that you make when you use the Organization Chart Wizard to create an organization chart (org chart).

Note: The changes that you make apply to all of the org chart shapes.

  1. Open the Microsoft Office Visio org chart that contains the shapes that you want to change.

  2. On the Organization Chart menu, click Options.

  3. In the Options dialog box, click the Fields tab.

  4. Under Block 1, do the following:

    • Select the check boxes for the fields that you want to show.

    • Clear the check boxes for the fields that you want to hide.

  5. Click OK.

To change the information for individual shapes, right-click the shape, point to Data, and then click Shape Data. The Shape Data dialog box opens, where you can make changes.
