Types of groups

Think of groups in Kaizala as just a collection of people. Groups can be visible only to you, your organization, or the public.

  • Flat (or personal) group    A flat group has at least one admin and as many as 300,000 members. A flat group can be personal or belong to an organization.

  • Organization group    You can create a group for a specific department and link it to your broader company. This gives you access to advanced security, privacy, and compliance features to safeguard your data. Organization groups can be created in the Kaizala management portal.

  • Public group    You can subscribe to public groups and receive updates from admins and members. Subscribers interact by liking, commenting, or responding to any actions sent to the group. Responses to actions are sent only to admins, not other subscribers. Public groups are created through the Kaizala management portal and are always mapped to an organization.

  • Hierarchical group   Kaizala has the ability to interact in different group structures depending on the type of communication between members. Hierarchical groups consist of both individuals and other subgroups. Members interact by responding to actions. Actions sent in any hierarchical group will be visible to all of its subgroups. A hierarchical group can be personal or belong to an organization.
