Join and discover groups in Kaizala

Join a group from an invite link

If you receive an invite link from the admin of a group, simply tap the link to join the group from the dialog box.

Join a group from a QR code

Sometimes an admin might share a QR code as an invite to join a group. You can scan the code to join the group.

  1. From your Chats list, tap Image of the New Group icon on the Chats list in Kaizala (on Android) or Image of the New Group icon on the Chats list in Kaizala (on iOS) > Join group.

  2. Tap the QR Code tab, and then scan the QR code shared by the admin.

Join a group from a group code

If you receive a group code to join a group, use the code to join the group.

  1. From your Chats list, tap Image of the New Group icon on the Chats list in Kaizala (on Android) or Image of the New Group icon on the Chats list in Kaizala (on iOS) > Join group.

  2. Tap the Group Code tab, and then enter the code shared by the group admin.

Join a nearby group

If a group is discoverable at your location, you can join it.

  • Tap Discover Image of the Discover tab in Kaizala , and then tap Nearby Groups.

  • Tap the group you want to join, and then tap Join. You will be added or subscribed to the group.

You can also join a nearby group directly from the Chats list:

  1. From your Chats list, tap Image of the New Group icon on the Chats list in Kaizala (on Android) or Image of the New Group icon on the Chats list in Kaizala (on iOS) > Join group.

  2. Tap the Nearby Groups tab, and then search for nearby groups.

  3. Tap the group you want to join, and then tap Join.

Subscribe to or unsubscribe from a broadcast group

To subscribe to a broadcast group:

  1. Tap Discover Image of the Discover tab in Kaizala , and then tap Broadcast Groups.

  2. Tap the group you want to join, and then tap Subscribe. Before subscribing, you will see group details such as description and number of subscribers.

To unsubscribe from group or an open group conversation:

  1. On the Group Info page, tap More Image of the More icon in Kaizala > Unsubscribe.

  2. As soon as you unsubscribe, the chat history of the public group gets cleared.
