Join a private meeting in Teams

There are a several ways to join a private scheduled meeting.

  • Click Meetings Meetings button on the left side of the app and you'll see a list of all your meetings for the week. Find the meeting you want, and then click Join.

  • If the meeting has already begun, it appears in your recent chat list. Select the meeting in your chat list and then click Join from the chat header.

  • You can also join a meeting from a calendar invite in Outlook. If you click the link in your email invite, you'll be directed to Teams and can join your meeting from there.

You can join from the Meetings Meetings button calendar or from a meeting notice in a channel or chat.

For now, you'll need to use the desktop or web app to join a meeting.

If a meeting is scheduled, a Join button will display in the center of the welcome screen. The button includes the meeting time and the name of the organizer.

If there are additional meetings scheduled, you can scroll through them by swiping left on the Join button.

Tap the button to immediately join the meeting. This will launch Whiteboard, as well as the Teams meeting pane on the right side of the screen. Incoming video from each of the participants, if they’ve enabled it, will be shown in the Teams pane, as well as the call controls, which let you turn your video on or off, mute your audio, share your screen, and more.
