When Project detects a potential scheduling conflict with a manually scheduled task, it generates a warning and the field containing the problem data is underlined in red. The Ignore Warnings field indicates whether you have chosen to hide the schedule conflict warning indicator.

Data Type    Yes/No field

Entry Type    Entered

How Calculated    Text

Best Uses    Add the Ignore Warnings field to any task sheet when you want to quickly change whether you want to see the warning indicators for manually scheduled tasks. By default, the Ignore Warnings field is set to No. You can use this field to quickly change the No to Yes. Likewise, if you want to see warning indicators that you have hidden, you can use this field to change the Yes to No. You can sort, group, or filter to show all the Yes entries together.

Example    You are starting to build the broad framework for a new project, and with the sketchy scheduling information you have so far on the manually scheduled tasks, you’re seeing a few scheduling conflict indicators. You’re not ready to resolve the conflicts yet, and you don’t want to see the indicators, so you add the Ignore Warnings field to the table portion of the Gantt Chart view. For each task showing a warning, you change the No to Yes.

Remarks    You can also specify to hide warnings in the Task Inspector pane for the task.

You can hide or show all warnings and suggestion indicators in the Project Options dialog box.
