Delete search history or export search history in Outlook on the web

You can delete your search history in Outlook on the web or export it as a comma-separated values (.csv) file.

Choose your version for instructions

The instructions are slightly different depending on whether you're using the new Outlook on the web. Choose which version of Outlook on the web you're using to see the steps that apply to you.

Note: If your organization has included its logo in the toolbar, you might see something slightly different than shown above.

Instructions for the new Outlook on the web

  1. At the top of the page, select Settings Settings > View all Outlook settings.

  2. Select General > Privacy and data.

  3. Do one of the following:

    • To delete your search history, select Delete history.

    • To export your search history to a .csv file, select Export.

Instructions for classic Outlook on the web

  1. At the top of the page, select Settings Settings > Mail.

  2. In the Options pane, select General > Export.

  3. Do one of the following:

    • To delete your search history, select Delete history.

    • To export your search history to a .csv file, select Export.
