Select the characters that you want to combine.

On the Home tab, under Paragraph, click Asian Layout , and then click Combine Characters.

In the Font and Size boxes, specify the font and font size that you want.
Tip: To clear the combined character formatting for Japanese characters, select the combined characters, and then on the Home tab, under Paragraph, click Asian Layout , click Combine Characters, and then click Remove.
