Microsoft To Do is currently available for the following Microsoft 365 suites:  

  • Business Essentials

  • Business Premium

  • Microsoft 365 Firstline F1

  • Enterprise Firstline F1 & F2

  • Enterprise E1-E5

  • Secure Productive Business

  • Secure Productive Enterprise E3 & E5

  • Education E1-E5

  • Education A1-A5

  • Microsoft 365 A3-A5

Customers with one or more eligible Microsoft 365 subscriptions will see user-level licenses for Microsoft To Do. You can use these licenses to manage individual access to the Microsoft To Do apps for Windows, iOS, and Android, as well as control visibility of the Microsoft To Do tile in the Microsoft 365 app launcher. 

To assign or turn off a user's license for Microsoft To Do, navigate to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center > Users, select the person whose license you want to assign or turn off, then select your preference for To Do > Save.

Here's an example of what you might see after turning off a license for Microsoft To Do:

You can also use Powershell scripts to assign or turn off Microsoft To Do licenses in batches.

If people who don’t have a license for any of the Office suites listed above, or whose licenses forMicrosoft To Do have been turned off, sign in to Microsoft To Do for Windows, iOS, or Android, they'll receive an error and will be signed out of the app.
