Best Uses    Add the Areas Impacted field to a proposal when you want to specify the departments or other areas that could be involved or otherwise affected by this project if it is approved. This provides useful information for the Portfolio Analysis process.

Example    You are proposing a project to develop a Web-based customer service solution. You add the Areas Impacted field to the proposal. In the lookup table that appears, you select Finance, Marketing, and Product Development.

Remarks    This field is an example of a custom enumerated field provided with Microsoft Project Server. You can view a list of available custom fields, and also create your own.
