About Settings and Options in a Lists tool

Settings and Options allow you to set a default view, enable or disable several user features, and add descriptive information about the tool.

  1. Enter the Designer.

  2. Click Settings and Options.

  3. If you want, set a default list view.

    This is the view that opens the first time users open the Lists tool. If you do not set a default view, users see the first view, alphabetically, when they open the tool.

  4. If you want, select a field to be used for search result titles from the drop-down list.

  5. Check or uncheck features as desired:

  6. Click the About this Tool tab to add "About" information to the Lists tool.
