What’s new in Business Contact Manager for Outlook

This release of Microsoft Business Contact Manager for Outlook is a compatibility pack. If you’re a Business Contact Manager 2010 user, with the new compatibility pack you can now also use Business Contact Manager in Microsoft Office 2013. Even if you’re using Outlook 2010 and Outlook 2013 side by side, you’ll still be able to run Business Contact Manager with either Outlook 2010 or Outlook 2013.

This compatibility pack is available for all languages supported by Business Contact Manager for Microsoft Outlook 2010.

Key new features

  • Support for Business Contact Manager in Outlook 2013.

  • You’ll need to migrate your existing database to use Business Contact Manager in Outlook 2013.

  • Improvements to stability and performance, as well as other underlying fixes

  • Use Business Contact Manager with Office 2010 and Office 2013 installed on the same computer (optional).

  • Side-by-side installations require a separate database for each version of Outlook, and the databases will not synch automatically. You’ll need to manually synch them if you need them to contain the same data.

How to get it

If you purchased a previous version of a Microsoft Office suite or a standalone edition of Microsoft Office Outlook that included Business Contact Manager, you can download Business Contact Manager for Outlook at no additional cost. You can also download Business Contact Manager for Outlook if you purchased one of the following products.

  • Microsoft Office Home and Business 2010 or Microsoft Office Home and Business 2013

  • Microsoft Office Professional

  • Microsoft Outlook 2010 (stand-alone edition) or Microsoft Outlook 2010 (stand-alone edition)

Using Business Contact Manager for Outlook can help you run your small business more effectively. You can:

  • Create separate Business Contact records for people you do business with.

Note:  Business Contact Manager for Outlook doesn’t work with Microsoft Office Accounting. Integration with Office Accounting isn’t supported.
