Using Quick Sign In

If you are logged on to your organization’s internal network and you are using Internet Explorer, your system administrator may have configured Communicator Web Access to enable you to sign in without providing a user name or passwordIf so, your administrator will provide you with a URL to be used for quick sign-in. This URL will typically look something like this:

Before you can use Quick Sign-In, you must configure Internet Explorer.

To configure Internet Explorer for quick sign-in

  1. Do one of the following:

    • In Control Panel, click Internet Options.

    • In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options.

  2. In the Internet Properties dialog box, on the Security tab, click Local intranet, and then click Custom Level.

  3. In the Security Settings dialog box, under Logon, click Automatic logon only in Intranet zone, and then click OK.

  4. In the Internet Properties dialog box, click Sites.

  5. In the Local intranet dialog box, click Advanced.

  6. In the next Local Intranet dialog box, in the Add this Web site to the zone box, type the URL of your Communicator Web Access site (for example,, and then click Add.

  7. In the Local intranet dialog box click OK.

  8. In the original Local intranet dialog box click OK.

  9. In the Internet Properties dialog box click OK.
