To change AutoCorrect behavior in Word on a mobile device, you need to change the language or keyboard settings on your device.

Steps for turning off autocorrect for Android tablets and phones vary depending on which device you're using. Contact your device manufacturer for more information.

  1. Go to Settings > General > Keyboard.

  2. Flip the toggle next to Auto-Correction to Off.

    You can also choose to turn other automatic keyboard settings like auto-capitalization and predictive word suggestions on or off.

  1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Settings.

  2. Tap Change PC settings.

  3. Tap PC and devices, and then tap Typing.

  4. Turn on or off any settings you like, such as Autocorrect misspelled words or Capitalize the first letter of each sentence.

  1. Go to Settings > Time & Language > Keyboard, and tap the language for which you want to change settings.

  2. Turn on or off any settings you like, such as Correct misspelled words or Capitalize the first letter of a sentence.
