Troubleshoot Opportunity records in Business Contact Manager

I want to reopen a closed Opportunity record

You can reopen a closed Opportunity Record by resetting its sales stage.

  1. On the Business Contact Manager menu, click Opportunities.

  2. In the Opportunities list, double-click the Opportunity record you want to reopen.

  3. In the General view, in the Status section, click the down arrow   Button image   next to the Sales stage box, and then select an opportunity status.

I can't edit some of the information on the Opportunity record form

Some information cannot be entered on the Opportunityform. For example, in the Product and services section, the Expected revenue, Total discount, and Total values are updated automatically according to the information originally entered.

I can't open a history item linked to an Opportunity record

You may be unable to open a TE000129538 from an Opportunity record if the item was deleted or moved to another location, or if the link between the item and the Opportunity record was broken.

To restore this link, relink the history item to the Opportunity record.

An existing history item can only be linked to an Opportunity record from the item itself.

  1. On the Business Contact Manager menu, click History.

  2. In the History list, double-click the history item that you want to link to an Opportunity record.

  3. In the Linked account, business contact, opportunity or project section, click the Link To button.

  4. In the Link to Business Contact Manager record dialog box, in the Folder list, select the group of Opportunities that contains the Opportunity record you want to link the item to.

  5. In the list box, select the Opportunity record, and then click the Link To button to link the history item to the Opportunity record.

  6. Click OK to return to the history item.

I can't see the Opportunities folder in the Navigation Pane

  1. On the Go menu, click Folder List, and then click to open the Navigation Pane.

  2. In the Folder List, click the plus sign next to Business Contact Manager to expand the folder list, and then view the Opportunities folder.
