Telephony Options

Use the Telephony Options dialog box to specify settings for the calls sent to or from a media gateway for this user.

Enable PC-to-PC communication only

To enable this user to use an Office Communicator client to engage in computer-to-computer calls only, click this option.

Enable remote call control

To enable this user to use an Office Communicator client to control her telephone, click this option.

Enable Enterprise Voice

To enable this user to use an Office Communicator client to place calls over the IP network from computer to computer, computer to telephone, or telephone to computer, click this option.

Note: You must deploy Enterprise Voice in your organization as described in the Office Communications Server 2007 R2 documentation before this option can take effect.

Enable PBX integration

To support the routing of calls to or from this user through an existing PBX solution, select this check box.

Policy

Specify the Enterprise Voice policy to apply to this user.

Note: You cannot specify this setting if the Global policy setting in Office Communications Server Voice Properties is not set to Use per user policy.

View

View the settings of the selected Enterprise Voice policy, as configured using the Policy tab in Office Communications Server Voice Properties.

Server URI

Specify the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) of the media gateway that will handle outgoing calls placed by this user.

Line URI

Specify the TEL URI for incoming calls to this user.

Location profile

Specify the location profile to apply to outgoing calls placed by this user. This overrides any location profile that is assigned to all Front End Servers in the pool, as configured using the Voice tab in Front Ends Properties.

View

View the settings of the selected location profile, as configured using the Location Profiles tab in Office Communications Server Voice Properties.

If you want to enable remote call control, Enterprise Voice, or PBX integration features for this user, you must deploy Enterprise Voice as described in the Office Communications Server 2007 R2 in the Office Communications Server Technical Library. If you want to enable this user to engage in computer-to-computer calls only, you do not need to deploy Enterprise Voice.
