Set your OneDrive for Business storage quota

By default, the quota for storage in each user's OneDrive for Business site is 1TB. If your Office 365 plan allows for more storage than 1TB per user, you may want to raise the quota for your users.

You can change the quota value for new and existing OneDrive for Business sites by using Windows PowerShell. (You need to be a tenant administrator to do this.)

Change the default quota for all new OneDrive for Business sites.

You can set the default quota for all new OneDrive for Business sites by using the Set-SPOTenant Windows PowerShell cmdlet.

Connect to SharePoint Online by using Windows PowerShell and then use the following syntax.

Set-SPOTenant -OneDriveStorageQuota <quota>

For <quota>, specify the value in megabytes for the quota. For example, 1048576 for 1TB or 5242880 for 5TB. You can specify any value that you want, however, if you specify a value greater than that allowed by a given user's license, that user's quota will be rounded down to the maximum value allowed by their license.

If you want to reset an existing OneDrive for Business site to the new quota, you can use the following Windows PowerShell syntax:

Set-SPOSite -Identity <siteURL> -StorageQuotaReset
