Many publications can be set up to print on a specific manufacturer's paper or label products. For example, you can design labels or business cards by using one of the designs in Microsoft Office Publisher 2007, and then print your publication on a specific manufacturer's postcard or business card paper, such as Avery, Georgia-Pacific, or ACCO Brands.

  1. Start Publisher.

  2. Select a publication type from the Publication Types list — for example, Business Cards or Labels.

  3. Click the design that you want in the publication type catalog, and then customize your publication by making any changes that you want. For example, you can click Color Schemes or Font Schemes to choose other colors or fonts.

  4. Click Create.

  5. To replace placeholder text with your own text, click the placeholder text, and then type.

  6. Immediately before you print your publication, click Page Setup on the File menu to select the page size that you want to use.

  7. In the Page Setup dialog box, click the publication type that you have created — for example, Mailing Labels.

    Notes:

    • All of the standard paper sizes available in Publisher for that publication type are listed under Mailing Labels. However, some publication types, such as Gift Certificates, Award Certificates, and Calendars, are not specifically listed at the top of the Page Setup dialog box. Instead, they are grouped under the Standard page size.

    • If you do not see the page size that you want in the list, click Create custom page size, and then create a custom page size that is appropriate for the size of the manufacturer's label or paper product.

For more information about creating a custom page size, see Custom Page Size dialog box.

  8. Click the page size that you want, and then click OK.

Note: After you select a page size, avoid changing any of the design and layout options available in the Label Options and Gift Certificate Options task panes. Changing any of these options resets your page size to the default page size, and your publication might not print properly on the label or paper product that you are using.

  9. To print your publication, click Print on the File menu, and then select the options that you want.
