If you experience a problem with your company data, you can restore it, provided you have backed up your data. It is good practice to consistently back up your data.
When you restore your data, you overwrite the entire database with the backup copy.
You can also restore a backup file to create a new company file.
Note: You must have administrator access to restore company data.
On the File menu, point to Utilities, and then click Data Utilities.
In the Microsoft Office Accounting Data Utilities dialog box, on the Basic Tools tab, under Restore a backup file, click Restore.
Note: If the Restore command is unavailable, you do not have sufficient access to use it.
Follow the instructions in the Database Restore dialog box.
Note: If you want to restore a backup to a new company, click Browse, and type a new file name. When you are prompted to create this file, click Yes.
To work with your restored data file, restart Microsoft Office Accounting 2008.
